Achieving a wood look with Axon Grained Cladding.

Axon cladding panels imitate a wall of tongue and groove wood boards. Why not stain them like wood?

Axon Timber Stain

Trendy colour palettes in Australian homes at the moment are greys and whites. These are all cool colours. So it's quite common to see wooden features like screens and tongue and groove walls worked into facades.

Stained wood has lovely, natural warm tones. Unfortunately, popular woods like Merbau tend to grey if they're not stained regularly so your facade loses that touch of warmth. Out of reach second storey wooden features are particularly difficult to maintain regularly. Wood also tends to crack and split. There is an alternative.

Axon grained cladding has the look of wood grained tongue and groove timber. When stained it can complete the illusion of timber but benefit from the durability of cement-based Scyon™.

Above: Axon™ Grained 133 mm cladding with three different Cabots Varnish Stains (Light Cedar, Teak, Rich Walnut) which successfully imitate varnished wood.

Two options which have been specified for fibre cement products are:

Cabots Timbercolour with Exterior Varnish Stain

 Solagard Masonry Matt.
